| "Friends don't let friends go to Virginia Tech."
Sponsored by the Association for a Hokie Free America.

| Ah...good ol' UVA... I am leaving in exactly five days! I
probably won't be able to update for a while, so goodbye xanga, goodbye
everyone, goodbye Northern Virginia. Time for me to take on the
rigors of collegiate academics, and a very demanding social
life...hahaha!

| Some random quotes to ponder upon....
"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much."
-MOther Teresa (1910-1997)
"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever
situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part
of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our
circumstances."
-Martha Washington (1732 - 1802)
I received some comments about the visibility of my pics...so I think I fixed the problem...
Enjoy!

| "Every day you make progress. Every step may be
fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you
an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path.
You know you will never get to the end of the
journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy
and glory of the climb."
-Sir Winston Churchill
If you've ever read the book Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, this quote truly hits the spot. If not, I highly recommend it!
Now for a really cool poem...

| Hey folks,
I'm back from my college orientation!! Although orientation
wasn't as fun as I expected it to be, I think I could see myself at UVA
wondering around from class to class in just a couple of weeks..
Anyways , I just found out about my rooming assignment....and I am
going to live here...

My home away from home...
o yes and I will leave you with a cool story of course....
The Diver
A young man who had been raised as an atheist was training to be
an Olympic diver. The only religious influence in his life came from his
outspoken Christian friend. The young diver never really paid much attention
to his friend's sermons, but he heard them often.
One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the college he attended. The
lights were all off, but as the pool had big skylights and the moon was bright,
there was plenty of light to practice by. The young man climbed up to the
highest diving board and as he turned his back to the pool on the edge of the
board and extended his arms out, he saw his shadow on the wall. The shadow of
his body was in the shape of a cross. Instead of diving, he knelt down and
finally asked God to come into his life.
As the young man stood, a maintenance man walked in and turned the lights on.
The pool had been drained for repairs.
God 's timing is soo perfect isn't it??
